Isaiah Thomas Award

, originally uploaded by Steve Pfost.

On April 21, 2010 Mark Mikolajczyk, president and publisher of Florida Today, was the 26th recipient of the RIT Isaiah Thomas Award in Publishing. The award, named for one of America’s great patriot printers, recognizes outstanding contributions made to the publishing industry. Mark graduated fro RIT with a with a B.S. in printing management and technology. Robert G. Hacker, Professor Emeritus, had Mikolajczyk as a student. I was asked to cover this ceremony by Wiliiam. It wasn't anything spectacular but I suppose not all assignments are going be full of blood, sweat, and tears. Above Professor Hacker gives a sign of success to Mark after him receiving the Isaiah Thomas Award.
